Project: Protein structural dynamics, interactions and drug design
On December 14, 1998, the department council of Physical Chemistry 2, Lund University, appointed Tomas Åkerud on the graduate student position funded by SBNet for the thesis project titled Protein structural dynamics, interactions and drug design. The starting date for the appointment was January 1, 1999. During the fall of 1998, Tomas rotated in the laboratories of Physical Chemistry 2 and Department of Structural Chemistry, Pharmacia & Upjohn in Stockholm, working on various aspects of protein-protein recognition and protein intramolecular dynamics using NMR spectroscopy.
