SBNet - Cryo-EM Course
SBNet will co-sponsor a course in cryo-EM organised by Holland
Cheng and Lena Hammar at KI.
Structural Determination of Macromolecular Assemblies;
Cryo-preparation, Data Acquisition, and Processing
October 22-25, Karolinska Institute, Novum
This intensive workshop will emphasize ways and means of structural
determination in supermolecules. Coverage of the course will include
dynamic roles of protein interaction as well as theoretically approached
assembly principles in some of the highly ordered enzymes and viruses.
The lecture session will be open to the network as much as the lecture
room can take (up to 50; see below for details).
Hands-on practice elucidating the state of the
art in cryo-techniques and digital imaging will be exercised with a
selected student group (12-15), based on the availability and relevance to
